Alisson spoke about watching his father`s funeral online.
In February 2021, Alisson`s father, Jose Becker, drowned in a river. He was 57 years old.
I remember that his death occurred in the middle of a pandemic and I was unable to attend the funeral. I participated online, it was my decision.
Liverpool offered me everything for the trip home, my teammates offered a charter flight so I could go straight to Porto Alegre.
They would do it for me if I wanted, but I couldn`t go at that moment.
My wife was pregnant, she was at risk, and I could not put her in danger. I couldn`t leave her alone. She suffered just like me.
I was worried about my mother, but my brother was able to be with her. Staying on the sidelines was a rational decision at the time.
Liverpool were also going through difficult times, fighting for a place in the Champions League, and if I had gone to Brazil I would have had to spend some time in isolation and I don`t know if I would have been back before the end of the season.
My teammates needed me, " the goalkeeper of the Merseysiders and the Brazilian national team said in an interview with UOL Esporte.
