Fixed game tip FIA President Ben Sulayem on ban on political speech: We don`t want racing to be a platform for a personal agenda

The FIA President commented on the ban on political statements in Formula 1.
Mohammed bin Sulayem is sure that racers should be engaged in races, and they can express their opinion at other sites. Pilots are now allowed to express their political, religious or personal views only after agreement with the FIA.
I believe in our sport. We intend to build bridges. Sports can be used for peace and everything else. But what we don`t want is the FIA being used as a platform for a personal agenda.
What do riders do best? Chasing. They are very good at it, they create business, they provide shows, they are stars. Nobody stops them. There are other platforms to express what they want. Everyone has them. And we invite drivers to go through the FIA process [to speak out in F1]. We just want the sport to be clean.
I have my own views, but this does not mean that I will use the FIA. The FIA should remain neutral in my opinion. We need superstars, and they are doing great when it comes to competitions, " said the President of the Federation.
Ben Sulayem told how the guilty pilots will be punished:
If permission is not obtained, it`s like speeding in the pit lane. Everything is obvious here. In some cases, it is very difficult to determine the fault when it comes to violation of the limits of the route.
But the stewards have all the power, not the FIA president.
