Fixed matches tips Sports director Ward, who has been in office since the summer, will leave Liverpool at the end of the season. The club is shocked

Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward will leave the club in the summer.
Last summer, the 41-year-old manager replaced Michael Edwards as Liverpool`s sporting director.
A few months after his appointment to this position, Ward decided to leave the club. He will work until the end of the season, and then release this post and take a break from football, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Guardian and Goal report that Liverpool are shocked and astounded by Ward`s decision. The club has no doubts about the manager, therefore, it believes that he will perform his duties with high quality until the end of the season.
Ward joined Liverpool in 2012, becoming the club`s scout. Prior to that, he worked as a South American scout for Manchester City. Since 2015, Julian has been on loan at Liverpool, and after success in this position, he was promoted and became assistant sports director in 2020.
Before leaving Liverpool, former sporting director Edwards wanted to smoothly hand over his duties to Ward, so he was the club`s de facto sporting director last season. He worked on the transfer of Luis Diaz from Porto, agreed with Mo Salah on a new contract, bought Darwin Nunez from Benfica and sold Sadio Mane to Bayern.
Liverpool made considerable efforts to convince Ward to stay, but the manager`s decision was affected by changes in the structure of the club analyzed by record of football predictions - in particular, his imminent sale.
